Tres B is living proof of the difference that Centrepoint can make to the lives of young people. After moving to the UK from the Congo six years ago, along and unable to speak English, Tres B spent the next few years staying in hostels and sleeping on friends' sofas, trying to escape being on the streets.
He was then put in touch with Centrepoint, where he found the support that eventually led to him signing a record contract and releasing his debut EP 'Best Friend' earlier this year.
We're delighted that Tres B will be bringing his unique blend of soul, hip hop and African folk to the Twestival London stage this Thursday, 24th March.
This year, Twestival London, in aid of Centrepoint, will be at The Cape, near St Paul's Cathedral. It's a terrific location, close to a bunch of Tube stations, and within easy walking distance of City Thameslink, Moorgate and Liverpool Street train stations.
The space itself is bright, airy and spacious, with a mezzanine floor overlooking the stage area, a big screen that we're planning to project a Twitter feed onto, and two bars to minimise time spent queuing for a drink!
So, get Tickets are now on sale for just £10, all of which will go direct to Centrepoint to support their work combatting the problem of homelessness amongst young people in London.
So join us for what's shaping up to be a terrific evening. We're currently finalising the entertainment schedule, with two bands and a comedian already confirmed. We're going to have karaoke, giant Jenga and we are putting together a fantastic list of raffle prizes. In short, it's shaping up to be the best Twestival London yet!
